Client: ALTA Language Services
Reason for Project: Client was experiencing slow loading times, and was looking to have the site theme backend match the ALTA Learn site I previously recoded for them. This site contained over 1000 pages that was previously built with WPBakery.
Resolution: Cleanup Design, New Theme, Site Scrape, SEO, Manually move page content out of builder.
What I did: I created a new template with a cleaned-up design to match closer to their learn.altalang.com site. I scraped the site using screaming frog to get a good list of URLs currently being used and combed the site for any non-indexed pages being used for Google Ads. A new theme was created using ACF, Bootstrap, and Underscores Base Theme. The site included a new custom backend due to them using a WP-Bakery builder previously. This allowed them to easily edit the content. I ran speed tests at the end, and adjusted where needed, and optimized the site with SEO best practices, I went with the best New website SEO strategy. In the end, the site was cleaner, matched the learn.atla site, was easier to use, and was faster. Client was happy.
